RASNZAPS MONTHLY COMPETITION RULES

Please read these rules to ensure that the images you submit will be included...

1. A person can enter BOTH the Telescope Hard AND the Telescope Easy section - and the Sub400mm (under 400mm focal length) section. However, to still permit fairness for other people to win, if a person wins BOTH telescope sections (Hard and Easy) in the same month, then they have proven themselves to be a 'master' and can only enter the Telescope Hard section for the NEXT month... E.g. If Ian Cooper won both the Telescope Hard and Telescope Easy sections for the November comps then he could only enter the Telescope Hard section in the December comp(s)... I realise that he may have gathered data in November for the December Telescope Easy comp - but he'll have to just enter the December Hard section - and perhaps show the non entered Telescope Easy image on NZA later.

2. Regarding the Sub400mm Section - you can use either a lens or telescope - as long as they are under 400mm in focal lengrh

3. Images are to be taken during the previous month and next month (e.g. 12:01am on the 1st until 11:59pm on the last day of the following month) - i.e. you have two months to image the target. For example, a June target can be imaged from May 1 until June 30...

4. Two image sizes are to be submitted as JPEGS:

'Large' ~1400 x 1000 pixels @ 72pixels/inch @ ~300kb, and
'Small' ~500 x 350 pixels @ 72pixels/inch @ ~ 60kb

5.Save as this file name -'Object (preferably NGC), YOUR name - Large (or Small)' - eg. 'ngc4755-jewell_box-alan_alda-large'
