COMET 2005 A1 (LINEAR) - PHOTOS AND OBSERVATIONS.
Possum Observatory
Comet 2005 A1 (LINEAR) should be at its brightest
on about the 21st March 2005 when it may be about magnitude of 10 or 11ish
and have a declination of -57* (circumpolar), with a elongation of 59*. The
following was extracted from GUIDE 8.0 software...

Inclination of orbit 74.8859000 degrees
Argument of perihelion 271.8882000 degrees
Long. ascending node 355.8552000 degrees
Date of perihelion JD 2453470.74140 (10 Apr 2005 5:47:36.9)

A1 appears as a small smudge of haze. It's slightly
brighter than a few weeks ago. Has a small, indistinct coma with some
slight central condensation - has a larger haze around it?. |
