COMET 2002 T7 (LINEAR) - PHOTOS AND OBSERVATIONS. Possum Observatory
Comet 2002 T7 was discovered by LINEAR (Lincoln Laboratory Near-Earth Asteroid Research project) on 14 October 2002. At discovery it was magnitude 17.5. It is expected to reach about magnitude 2-3ish on the 18th May 2004 in the WSW evening sky in Eridanius. It will have an elongation of 38° (3° altitude at the end of astronomical twilight - but it rapidly climbs higher in the sky each night thereafter). It will be at a distance of 0.296 AU (40,266,743 km) when it will be traveling at 22.1' / hour in a PA of 99°.
