The Bug Nebula (NGC 6302) - Scorpius. An interesting nebula lying near the sting of Scorpius. This small planetary nebula may be the result of a star 'burping' off a layer of gas. Through the 16" it resembles an elliptical galaxy with a brighter core offset towards one end. An interesting sight.
