The Tarantula Nebulae (NGC 2070) - Dorado. Considering that it's in the Large Magellanic Cloud (180,000 light years away), this is one huge patch of gas! If it were where M42 is it would fill all of Orion and cast shadows. Through a scope it resembles a Tarantula spider's shape. Check it out...
