CARINA (the Keel) - Possum Observatory

Originally part of the giant constellation Argo Navis (the ship of the Argonauts), Carina was subdivided in the 1750's to become a constellation in its own right. Situated in an ultra rich section of the Milky Way Carina contains HEAPS of rich clusters and nebulae, etc. Running along this treasure trove of celestial beauties with binoculars or a scope under a dark sky is an experience that won't be forgotten. My favourite: Eta Carinae.
